Mary D (Mello) Pimentel, 67, of Florence St, Pawtucket, passed on September 13, 2020. She was the wife of Manuel T. Pimentel. They have been married for 44 years. Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Rodrigues Mello, and Idalina Alves Barboza. She came to Rhode Island in 1966. They were active members of Saint Anthony Church and of theirs Holy Spirit Society, of which her father and uncle were founding members. Mary and her husband served as Mordomo’s, Society President, in 1995. Mary worked at Texas Instruments over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time in her home with family, bringing people through her Cooking. She was an avid gardener, a loving, caring and doting, on her grandchildren, she was giving of herself to her church and community The Holy Spirit was alive and well in her and felt by everyone around her.
Besides her husband she is survived by her sons, Nelson Pimentel, spouse Kasie; and Steve Pimentel, spouse Jacinta, grand children- Sebastian, Lillian, Ariela, Lucas & Anaya, her Siblings, Ana Pimentel, Manuel Mello and Joseph Mello.
Visitation will be held Wednesday September 16th from 4pm until 7pm, and again Thursday morning from 9am until 10am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30am in St. Anthony Church followed by private burial.
